Transition Workshop from the SGI Origin to the IBM p690

This is a transition workshop for users moving from the SGI Origin 2000 to
the IBM p690. The workshop covers the p690 system architecture and features
the differences in compilers, libraries, and the batch system to access software
and hardware. The worshop format is lecture/discussion in the morning session
and hands-on experience in the afternoon. A computer lab will be available for
the hands-on session. If possible, please bring your own laptop for the hands-on
session and indicate this on the registration form.
The intended audience includes users of NCSA supercomputers - students, postdoctoral
staff, faculty, and staff. Priority will be given to current Origin 2000 users.
Enrollment is limited.
The workshop will be held at NCSA, 1901 South
First Street, Champaign, Illinois (Building Z - located in quadrant G2 on
the UIUC campus map). The morning session will also be offered via the Access
