Communicating Effectively Over the Access Grid

“Communicating Effectively Over the Access Grid” is a seminar offered over the Access Grid for people that have little or no experience using an AG Facility. The seminar will cover effective communication skills for presenters, how to address questions when dealing with multiple remote audiences, which media forms are commonly used over the Access Grid (such as distributed powerpoint) and specific suggestions for preparing your presentation materials. The seminar also allocates a time for questions and the participants are encouraged to conduct a ‘test run' in which they get to assume both the role of the presenter as well as the remote audience(s). This seminar will be presented live from Boston University and remotely via the Access Grid at NCSA.

The NCSA Seminar Series is a set of presentations on high performance computing and related research. Typically, the seminars are presented on Tuesday afternoons and are available onsite at the presenting institution and remotely via the Access Grid.
