The mission of the NCSA's Security Operations team is to support the central
mission of the center by assuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability
of its resources to its staff and researchers. In close collaboration with
other NCSA groups, the Security Operations team helps protect our resources
by focusing on assessing, detecting, and mitigating the risks to our network
and computational systems. Through a defense in depth strategy, technology
and applications are applied in areas to strengthen the centers overall security
posture, as well as raising the conscientiousness of the users and staff with
security awareness training and education.
